Hi Anjula

I have recently become a mother for the first time (10 weeks ago) and although I'm normally a confident person, at times I feel totally overwhelmed by the responsibility.  I am constantly questioning my parenting skills and whether I'm a good enough mum to my daughter.  I'm sure this is normal but I just wish I could just have 100% confidence that I'm doing the right thing by her.  Any tips?

Thanks in advance.

Lu

Oh that is so normal!

I felt exactly the same thing -at about 10 weeks.

The first few weeks are overwhelmed by love and joy but then reality hits and your 'routine' comes into play.

What you need is support from friends and family - just to have the reassurance. Try no to isolate yourself and try and get sleep as this can fall by the waist!

The fact that you are worrying about it means that I really do feel that you are good enough! You don't need to be perfect - no one is!

It is so normal and natural to feel like that I promise!

Best wishes,
