Message: Leap year is looming - Sunday 29th February is the once in four year opportunity for us girls to propose. It's funny as despite feeling modern and liberated in every way (well nearly everyway. I don't like running around in public with no bra on), I still like the idea of a man asking for my fair hand in marriage. But maybe this is just old and stale now. Maybe we should be asking for his hand. What does everyone think about leap year proposals and is anyone planning to pop the question next weekend?

Message: i'm like you...i'm modern, but i have old installed values ... in that i would love the bf to ask me, i would like it to be done the old fashion way, in he has to ask my dad first, then he can propose to me :-) .... ooh i wish lol!

But i'm all for women asking men !!! Good on them, if they want too! Must be great for the men , to have they're gf's ask them huh!

Message: Last leap year, I told my partner that I was thinking of proposing to him and he got really worried and begged me not too - he said if I did he wouldn't say yes! What a nasty boy! We are engaged now and he asked of his own free will!

Message: I must admit i have thought about it but my bf had said to his mates gf that if he had a job and the money he woulda propsed to me on Valentines day, however he hasnt got a job at the mo and is desperately looking everywhere!

Also i feel that if my bf hasnt asked me up to this point then he obviously isnt ready just yet too!He reckons that he is asking my fathers permission and he knows the date the time where it is how it is etc etc hes got it planned out so i wouldnt want to burst his bubble lol!!

Message: Hi

I too think like you, don't mind modern, but there are just some things a man has to do!!!
