Hello all,

I am a 51 year old man married to my second wife for 3 years, been together now for 7. For some reason I cant get my wife to interact with me anymore. She is loving when it occurs to her and our sex life is good but she kind of ignores me most of the time. Its as if we have been married for 30 years and gone stale. Now this is her 2nd marriage to and she would indeed have been married 30 years if she had stayed with the other bloke. Is she just carrying on as normal with us and forgotten we are newly weds for all intents and purpose? She has just started the change last year is this something to do with it? Any suggestions would be gratefully welcomed

I can't comment on the menopause as I hopefully have a few decades til I have to worry about it ;) but yes it could be! The only thing I can suggest is to talk to her. Try not to accuse her i.e. you ignore me all the time, but rather I feel really lonely when you seem to be off in your own world or something like that.

Hope someone a bit older will bumble along and post re: the hormone situation.

HI Liz and thanks for the reply. The problem is I am the one who does the 'talk' bit and I am all to aware that it is so important but she doesnt say anything. I ask her if there is a problem and she says no but clearly there is! I have tried till I am blue in the face to get a dialogue going but zilch, I am talking to myself. I dont accuse her or lose my rag but I would be lying if I said it wasnt making me quite resentful! I dont know where it will end?
