Bit of a random one but here it goes ...

My fiancé just sent me a text using a machine at the FOB where he is based in Afghanistan. He reckons I can text back. So I replied to the number then got another text off him a bit later saying 'If you can work out how to reply ... blah blah blah' I tried looking on the MOD website but couldn't really think how to search for this information. So I just wondered if anyone here knew? I dunno if perhaps you need to put a code first or whether you just cannot text back at all!
