Message: ...during foreplay, a little bit of DH's wee comes out and I don't know how to tell him! It's an instant turn off. We've been together for years, and I'm sure it's been happening for a long time, but it's only recently that I've found it impossible to overcome in a grin and bear it manner. Is this a common occurrence? I can't recall it happening with previous partners. DH has such a hang up about his age right now (mid 40s), and mentioning this can't help. In the mean time the poor man's baffled as to why I suddenly call a halt to proceedings.
Please help, tact really isn't my middle name!

Now that is an interesting one! The only thing that I have come near to this (I hoper!!) is when I have had sex first thing in the morning and my bladder needs emptying not my sack!!

The muscles that the control the flow of urine are the same as those that hold him back from coming. I wonder if you are getting him so excited he lets go just a little more than he ought to.

As for his concern about his age then that could mean broaching the subject will need tact, but I think broach it must. At the mo all he knows is things were looking good and all of a sudden it is over, so then it is down to his imagination as to what had changed.

One way or another I would imagine he needs to go to the loo before he starts.

Additionally, loss of bladder control can be an indication of a more serious prostrate problem which maybe worth suggesting a GP visit.

Hi jennylee and welcome,

I agree with colenso on the technical points, he may need either and or to go to the lavatory before or part way through, and visit the docs to make sure all is well. He may just need to learn control exercises.

There is a point when a man is getting excited where he produces a small amount of lube for the end of his penis. This varies in quantity between men, for me I have never noticed any at all, and this may be what you are seeing. I have no idea if it varies in consistancy, but the body is a very varied thing, and it may do. I also do not know if it has a different smell to urine, is the smell the thing that tells you what it is?

I do believe that if you are having sex together, the most intimate act between two people, then you should be able to trust each other wholly to be able to talk about yourselves without reservation, talk being the next most intimate act. Tact is sometimes required, but keeping him in the dark is so much worse as he will just let his imagination wander and make up all sorts of ridiculus reasons in his mind about why you quit, and drive himself nuts!!! Tell him simpy and matter of factly in a way which says can we sort this together, and do it outside the bedroom.

Forties is nothing , I am 61 and still have plenty of life in me with no problems regarding being able to perform, so do not start to write him off, he is very young yet.

Hope that helps.

Mm

This one is a new one to me. Probably best to talk about it and to get some medical advice if it is an issue.
