Hi,

Well, was meant to have a date earliier today. Got a text message off the said guy at half eight this morning saying 'can we give today a miss, sorry to muck you around, just that things happened when i was out last night'.

Hardly much to go on but seems like a feeble excuse to me. Replied back and left it with him to let me know when he might be able to make next. Needless to say no reply since so says it all!

Obviously he has either remarkably met someone overnight, or just chickened out at the last moment, changed his mind or had no intention of meeting up at all. Just goes to show that it does not matter what site you try, reputable or tacky, free or paid up, people like this lurk on them all and are just a plain pain in the ****!

Rant over!

Message: That's a bit crap Missy. What I would have done in his position would have been a quick message to your phone to cancel the date (not wanting to assume you'd be online all day) then an email with a bit more of an explanation whether the cancellation was an actual cancellation or just a postponement.

NEXT!

Hi Summertime girl,

Yeah thats what i thought too - pretty rank of him!

I actually did hear back from him again yesterday. Apparently he met up with another woman before me and they 'really clicked', he apologised and all that for not getting back sooner and said he would have felt unfair meeting me after he'd got on so well with this other lady, so i just thanked him for being honest and wished him well. Least i got some sort of explanation even if it was 4 days later..

Message: Lucky escape methinks - if he "really clicked" with the other woman but still went on a date with you...
