I'm thinking about trying online dating again and wondering which site to use ?

Tried Dating Direct before but didn't find it that good so thinking about e-harmony or match.com. Anyone know anything about these and how they compare both in terms of how good they are and how much they cost?

Thanks

I would try POF as well as a paid one..... (POF is free, though they do have a "serious members" function so you can tell who is really keen to date). Hope you have your "thick skin" ready, cos as in real life, you'll meet all sorts of characters, some great and some not so!!

Good luck (it worked for me :)

Hi Prettythings,

Welcome to the board.

I myself didn't have much luck with Dating Direct and did once put a profile on e-harmony, but its not like a normal dating site where you can browse and message those who are of potential interest - they send you what they call your 'compatiable matches' and you then take it from there and its also one of the more expensive sites so i wouldn't recommend it really.

Match is at the moment around £35 for one months subscription so not as expensive but not exactly the cheapest either! But i have found that most of the time from my own experiences that men i have come across on there seem more serious about meeting someone than some sites, but no sites are foolproof unfortunately and all have their mix of good and bad, its trial and error really of finding a site you like the look of and the features of and seeing how it goes from there.

Also as has been suggested i would not exclude free sites as some of our posters on here have found success on free sites as well as subscription based ones.

Good luck with it all.

Missy x
