Hi all

I'm currently on maternity leave. We've done the sums and it seems we can't afford for me to go back to work with the cost of childcare in relation to my salary. However, we also can't afford for me to have no salary at all. By my reckoning I need to earn roughly £300pcm.

I know it's not a great deal so surely would be possible working from home? Only thing is I don't know what I can do to bring in that kind of money regularly (or more but on a slightly less regular basis perhaps).

I'm currently a teacher though I have done lots of different jobs in the past, am very good at accurate and speedy data input, can do clerical jobs and am also quite technical (though not sure there's much of a market currently for freelance web developers and the like).

Any ideas??

There are a lot of online tutoring and mentoring jobs: Online Teaching Opportunities: List of Tutoring and Mentoring Jobs

Or, if you're a teacher of the basics, then Kumon do a number of private tuition programmes and while it's a franchise, the franchisees also employ tutors direct: Kumon, Private Tuition

This sort of work pays a lot more than if you try to do admin type work from home.
