Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice on an issue I am facing at work.  I work in a large office which we relocated to just over a year ago and the problem I have is that I have never been warm!  I am constantly sat in a draft.  The problem has been reported several times and nothing is ever done.

The past month is has been unbearbaly cold I am currently sat at my desk with a long sleeve tee-shirt, a fleece, a thick woolen cardigan and a scarf and I am still cold, No one seems to be particually bothered about this my supervisor joked about bringing in a hot water bottle!!   My manager has said nothing depsite sitting directly behind me so I have reported this to a higher person 3 times in 2 weeks and nothing has changed and I really don't know what to do.

I am getting pains in my shoulder, neck and arm all on the same side as I feel this draft and very often a sore throat and ear ache all of which I only get when I am at work.

It is really making me feel miserable and I just don't know what else I can do

Hi Purple-millie,

I assume that you are in the UK, but I recall that there is a set minimum laid out for health and safety.  I found this link:

http://www.hse.gov.uk/contact/faqs/temperature.htm

It says that the minimum should be at least least 16deg..  One company that I worked for actually had thermometer in the rooms, perhaps you could suggest this.  Or ash them to purchase a small fan heater to place near youd desk.

HTH
